Weeknotes for July 10th 2020

Things I was grateful for this week:

RightsCon & TechChange Teams

This week, I started working with the RightsCon & TechChange teams on providing support to facilitators who will be delivering virtual sessions for RightsCon‘s first online convening from July 27th to 31st. The first task was adding guidance to the Session Organisers’ Guide. Then we ran two online coaching sessions we framed as ‘Starter Sessions’ – though they were more starter for us as we worked together as a team for the first time AND, for me, hearing session organisers talk about what they were trying to accomplish with their sessions.

Participants of The (Virtual) Session Design Lab

Held the 4th Lab this week, and it brought together another fabulous cohort of people who shared knowledge and expertise in designing effective convenings. I’m continually amazed that there is such a hungry audience for the Lab – and I’m also starting to get requests from organisations to run it just for them. I’ll be taking a break from running the Lab in August as I start to focus on providing support to facilitators’ designing sessions for RightsCon and the Climate Red Summit. Can’t wait till the next one in September.

Outputs from the Data Champions Programme

It was such an honour to run this programme for 360Giving, and this blog post interviewing two of the participants made it all the more sweeter.
